The New Zealand Disability Support Network (NZDSN) is a values-driven national network of service providers and supporters focused on achieving inclusive lives and active citizenship for disabled people. Our purpose is to lead and influence change that supports inclusive lives. 

Training and Workforce Development Coordinator

We are looking for someone to coordinate our provider development programme and to work with relevant stakeholders to advance a more qualified, future focused workforce. The role will involve the planning and coordination of workshops and other training events along with a facilitation role regarding workforce development.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has outstanding planning and organisational skills
  • Is an experienced facilitator of groups
  • Can build consensus across multiple stakeholders
  • Has sound and contemporary content knowledge of disability policy and practice frameworks
  • Has well- developed networks in the disability sector

This is a 20-hr per week position and we will consider both employee or contractor arrangements. A Wellington based candidate is preferred, but not a requirement.

Communications Coordinator

NZDSN is wanting someone to assist with our ongoing communication with members and the wider disability sector. The work will involve managing our website, expanding our communication channels – including social media, and the publication of our regular newsletter.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has outstanding IT skills
  • Is experienced in managing websites and social media platforms
  • Can bring innovative thinking and fresh ideas
  • Some knowledge and experience of the NGO sector would be helpful

This is a 20 hr per month position and we will consider fixed term employment or contractor arrangements. A Wellington based candidate is preferred, but not a requirement.
