Consultation document: Improving access to the general election and referendum for disabled people

The electoral agencies developed an action plan to improve services for people with disabilities at parliamentary elections for the 2005 and 2008 general elections. They want to build on that progress, so seek feedback on how services can be maintatined and, where appropriate, improved for the 2011 general election and referendum.

The aims of this project are to:

• Provide information in accesible formats for disabled prople about the referendum on the voting system
• Continue all initiatives that have proven successful for the 2011 general election and referendum
