Te Pou development funding available
Te Pou administers training and leadership funds on behalf of the Ministry of Health for the disability support services workforce and consumers.
The Disability Workforce Development service within Te Pou is a programme dedicated to supporting workforce development for frontline disability support staff.
The overriding principle for the three funds described below is to deliver the best learning outcomes, within current funding, for the disability workforce funded by the Ministry of Health.
Training grants are available throughout the year to assist employees' participation in a Ministry of Health-approved national certificate or diploma.
Leadership development grants are available to assist employees' participation in Ministry of Health-approved leadership development programmes.
The consumer leadership development grant provides funding for development opportunities for people with disabilities, their carers, whanau, aiga and the organisations sponsoring them.
